Matt Soden

Chairman

Matt has been coaching at the club for a few years now, and like almost everybody else, he initially got involved because his son wanted to play football.  He's a life-long Leicester City supporter and still can't quite believe what happened there.

Martin Blair

Vice Chairman - Boys

Martin is also a coach at the Club and has a son playing in an older age group too, giving him experience both as a parent and a coach.  When he isn't busy with WMFC you'll often find him with his family, cheering on West Ham at the London Stadium.

Joe Torpey

Vice Chairman - Girls

Joe has been Vice Chair on the girls side for a number of years now, coaching on Saturdays and helping to develop this growing section under the FA's new Wildcats scheme.

Russell Brooks

Treasurer

Russell coaches a team in the same age group as Matt, the two of them jointly managing the Greens and Stripes..  As a Tax Accountant by day, the Club finances are in good hands.

Amanda Barrow

Club Secretary - Girls

Amanda. has been working with Joe on the girls section for a number of years, with her daughter progressing from playing to now coaching one of the girl's age groups.

Natalie Brooks

Child Welfare Officer

As a Pediatric Nurse, Natalie is an incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated CWO as well as a keen supporter of the club.

Guy Cumpstey

Youth Development Officer

Guy has been working with the youngsters at Writtle Minors for longer than he can remember, working closely with Pip and the rest of the coaches (including their sons) to deliver a first taste of the WMFC experience to U6s.

Alistair Patient

Club Secretary - Boys

Ali has been Club Secretary for several years and has recently taken on the unenviable role of Fixtures Secretary.  Like many of us, he also coaches a team featuring his own son.

The Committee

Registration Secretary

Fiona Palmer

Fiona has been the Club's Registration Secretary for several years now, dealing with all the paperwork for some 350-odd players across all age groups every year.  An unenviable but vital task.

Please note:  If you'd like your child to join the club, please contact the relevant team directly first to make sure there is space available as we can only register a limited number of players for each age group and often run at capacity.
